This Privacy Policy explains how Souler ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit souler.me (the "Site") and use our personality tests (the "Services").

Our tests are based on established personality frameworks and are intended for personal insight and self-reflection. They are not clinical diagnostic tools and should not replace professional psychological evaluation or medical advice.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any personal identifier to use our personality tests. You answer test questions anonymously, and your answers are processed entirely in your browser.

If you choose to sign in for the Personal Growth area, we may receive the account information needed to authenticate you, such as your email address, display name, and login provider identifier from email, Google, or Facebook.

If you choose to unlock a premium report, payment is handled by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Stripe collects your payment card details, billing address, and email address for the transaction. We do not receive, store, or have access to your full payment card number. Stripe's use of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

2.2 Information Stored in Your Browser

To give you a smooth experience, we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage and session storage:

Test results and answers - so you can return to your last result without retaking the test.
Premium unlock status - so we know you have already purchased a report and can show you the full content.
Two-player session data - temporary data used to coordinate the handoff between two players on the two-player soulmate test.

If you are not signed in, this data stays on your device. If you are signed in, your test result records and premium unlock status may be synced to your Souler account so they can be restored on another device. You can clear local copies at any time by clearing your browser site data.

2.3 Analytics and Advertising

We use the following third-party services that may collect anonymized usage data:

Google Analytics 4 - collects page views, button clicks, and test interaction events such as starting a test, viewing a result, or completing a purchase. We use this data to understand how people use the Site and improve the experience. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser.
Google Ads - tracks when a visitor clicks one of our ads and completes a purchase. This helps us measure whether our ads are effective.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

Deliver and improve the personality test experience.
Remember your test results and premium purchase on your device, and in your account if you are signed in.
Process payments through Stripe.
Measure site traffic and advertising effectiveness through Google Analytics and Google Ads.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not build advertising profiles on individual users or engage in automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

4. Cookies

If you sign in, we set essential authentication cookies to keep you logged in and protect your session. Google Analytics and Google Ads may also set cookies in your browser for measurement and advertising purposes. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though disabling essential cookies may prevent login from working.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for general audiences and are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through our Site, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data Retention

If you are not signed in, test results and premium unlock status remain in your browser's local storage until you clear your browser data. If you are signed in, synced result records and premium unlock status are retained in your Souler account so they can be restored later.

Analytics data collected by Google is retained according to Google's default data retention settings.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:

The right to know what personal data is collected about you.
The right to request deletion of your personal data.
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data (note: we do not sell data).

Because we do not require your name, email, or other direct identifiers to use our tests, anonymous test activity is mainly stored on your own device. If you sign in, account-linked synced records may be associated with your Souler account. To exercise a privacy right, you can clear browser data for souler.me or contact us. For analytics data held by Google, please refer to Google's privacy tools.

9. International Users
